G & T Hire is a family-run Townsville business — that’s the “G” and “T”, Gavin and Tegan. We started out doing the jobs we’d want done at our own place: fences that stay standing, walls that hold, and a crew that turns up and cleans up.
Today we cover fencing in every material, structural landscaping, licensed pool safety inspections and equipment hire. The thread through all of it is simple — we own our gear, we run the job ourselves, and we build to the standard North Queensland’s climate actually demands.

We hold QBCC licence 15495259 and are licensed Queensland pool safety inspectors (PS15495259 & PS15528121), and we're fully insured — so our fencing is built to code, our retaining walls are engineered and drained properly, and any pool safety certificate we issue is the real thing.
Why our own machinery makes a difference
A lot of fencing and landscaping jobs stall waiting on a subbie with a machine. We own our Kanga mini loaders, a Bobcat excavator and tipper truck & trailers, so we can auger post holes in tough Townsville clay and rock, trench for drainage, set footings, and cart the spoil and old fencing away — all in the one visit, on our own timeline. It's faster, tidier and cheaper than coordinating three trades, and it's why we can take a site from raw dirt to a finished, cleaned-up boundary.
